Judith Silverthorne is a multiple international award-winning Canadian author of numerous books for children, young adults and adults, several of which have been translated into other languages. She has won several Moonbeam Children’s Award, Independent Publisher Book Awards (IPPY), Next Generation Indie Book Awards and the Kimi Awards (Germany), as well as several in Canada, including Saskatchewan Book Awards and she has been nominated for many more.

She has also worked as a journalist, manuscript evaluator, researcher and book reviewer, and written several hundred articles and columns for newspapers and magazines. She was the Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild from 2010 until 2017, and in 2018-2019 was the term Writer-in-Residence at the Regina Public Library.

She currently works as a freelance writer/scriptwriter, writing workshop instructor, book and script editor, and consultant. She is the CEO of Silverlight Productions Inc and produces documentaries for television.

Judith offers a variety of writing workshops from creative writing, to memoirs, family histories, children’s writing as well as those on publishing and other aspects of the literary field.

Judith has written hundreds of newspapers columns, magazine articles, features and reports, and is for hire to write whatever fits your needs.

Judith provides consulting and editing services for many types of written material, including fiction and non-fiction in different sub-genres as well as scriptwriting for drama and documentaries.

As a writer and editor in many genres, Judith is most of all a storyteller, and her writing, consulting, and editing reflect this for others as well.
