Judith Silverthorne is a multiple-award winning Canadian-based author of numerous books for children, young adults and adults several of which have been translated into other languages. She has won multiple international awards including Moonbeam Children’s Award, Independent Publisher Book Awards (IPPY), Next Generation Indie Book Awards and the Kimi Awards (Germany), as well as several in Canada, and she has been nominated for many more.

She has also written several hundred articles and columns for newspapers and magazines and in her spare time works as a journalist, freelance writer, manuscript evaluator, researcher, book reviewer, scriptwriter, and editor. She is also a film and video producer with a film and video company, Silverlight Productions Inc. She previously owned Spiral Communications producing arts-related television documentary shows.

She was an the Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild from 2010 until 2017, and in 2018-2019 was the Writer-in-Residence at the Regina Public Library for a nine month term. She currently works as a freelance writer, instructor, editor, and researcher. She also does film and video producing and is writing two adult novels, one historical and the other a mystery.
